This is relay race. The object of the game is for the kids to choose partners, with each partner going to the opposite sides of the floor. One side is nicknamed “Coke”; the other is called “Pepsi”. The DJ alternates calling out either “Coke” or “Pepsi”, and the players on that side of the dance floor run to the other side, ultimately sitting on their partners knee. For instance, if the DJ called “Coke,” the guests on the “Coke” side would run across the floor, and sit on their “Pepsi” partners knee. The last player to successfully do this is out. That duo leaves the dance floor and game continues in this manner. To mix things up, the DJ will occasionally call out another soft drinks, such as “Dr. Pepper” or “7UP.” If any player performs the wrong move to a flavor called, they are out, along with their corresponding partner! The last duo remaining is the winner.
All we need for this is two people to hold the limbo stick while the rest line up to go under it. It always seems to be a crowd pleaser! You may also do this as a couple or team event with more than one going under at the same time.
All you need is one long piece of rope and strong people. This can be spiced up by making the teams do it backward. This also should be played outdoors. This game is great for young and old as well.
5 to 10 people at a time will come to the dance floor and be given one or even a few hula hoops. On the command of “Go,” they will begin twisting the Hula Hoops around their waist. The last person to have the hula hoop going will be our winner of that match. We will keep going until everyone has a chance to do it once. Then the winners of all matches will have a “Hula Hoop Off” to see who is our ultimate champion.
It takes 6 teams of two, one person (the catcher) holds a cone to their head, and the other is the tosser. It is a simple game; the first team to catch 4 rings wins! We can even spice things up with assorted party hats instead of cones!
Another great relay race, but now with needed precision! We line up teams who need to create a pyramid with 21 cups out on the floor. Each team is given a different color cup. The first team with the 21 cup stacked up is the winner.
1 person is to be the Mummy and 2 or 4 are the wrappers. Four rolls of toilet paper are used. Wrappers run around and wrap the Mummy. At the Mitzvah, you can also include bows, ribbons, garland or whatever. Suggested Music: Thriller, Monster Mash
You can have as many people as you like play this game. Have the players come to the dance floor with a chair. Everyone must sit. The MC calls something out like "Licensed Driver". The players run to find one. While they are gone, we remove one chair. The person who comes back and doesn't have a seat is out. This can be done quickly by calling another item while people are still out and removing another chair. We can also create a list of items for them to find while they are out and the first team back with all of the items wins.
This is a 8-10 person team game. Each person has a straw, they need to suck up 1 marshmallow and carry it across the dance floor and put it into a glass and run back and slap the hand of the next person in line. 1st team to get one marshmallow for each player wins. You can also use chopsticks instead of straws.
We play a fast song and when the music stops, all must freeze. Changing songs and telling people what to do like put your hands in the air will add spice to the contest.
This is a good game for the dinner hour. A jar is filled with Jelly Beans (or the candy of your choice) and is passed around the table. Each person must write on a piece of paper their guess and their name. They then hand it to the DJ. The person who gets the closest wins the jar and beans!
This is where we line up teams of 10 team players with each getting a number 1 – 10 and the kids have to line up using their number to give the answer. We ask a question and those that get the correct answer receive a "token". The group with the most "tokens" wins. Questions can be about the Guest of Honor, Naming the Disney song, or any other fun subjects!
Everybody gets a balloon attached to a string that is tied to their ankle. The object is to pop everyone else’s balloon while protecting yours. Players must stay within arranged areas. You can spice this up by adding a freeze portion. When the music stops, all must stop.
The more guests, the better! Everyone brings out his or her chair, and the DJ will take on away. You start the music, and everyone goes around in a circle. As the music stops, everyone grabs a chair. The person left standing is out, and he/she takes a chair with them back to their seat. The Person remaining is the winner. Really a lot of fun, and adults love it too!
All the kids will get into groups of 6. 1 person is the "stuffy" and the others are the "stuffers". The "stuffy" put on an oversized t-shirt, the "stuffers" are given balloons. The object is for the "stuffers" to blow up balloons and stuff them under the t-shirt of the "stuff". The team with the most balloons under the shirt in a given time wins! Time allotted game.
The kids partner up for this game. Partner A tosses the beanbag to partner B. If Partner B catches the beanbag, both Partner A & B take a step back. Now partner B tosses to Partner A. If Partner A catches, they take a step back. If either person fails to catch, the team is out. The last team standing wins.
If the event is outdoors, you can also use water balloons!
Try to make as many baskets as possible in a given time. Each of three baskets is numbered with a higher score. This can be done with as many people as you want.
You make three lines of ten people each. The first person in line passes a ball over their head to the person behind them, who in turn passes the ball between their legs to the person behind them, who passes the ball over their head and so on. When the ball gets to the end of the line, that person runs to the front of the line and starts all over. The line that gets the starting person all the way to the back to the front wins!
Groups are arranged in a line, one person in front of another. Place a balloon in-between each person, at chest height. The balloon is then held between everyone's torsos & backs. No hands or arms are allowed. The team them must walk from one end of the dance floor to the other and back without dropping any balloons. If a balloon does fall, the team must start over!
Have the group form a giant circle, holding hands. The game master then places 2 hula hoops on 2 people in the circle. The goal of this activity is to pass a hula hoops completely around the circle as quickly as possible without breaking handholds. When the music stops, the person with the hula hoop around them is out. Last person standing wins.
Similar to Pass the Hula, but when the music stops, if you have the "potato" the DJ will have you reach into the “bag-o-tricks” and pull out something to wear. For example: A clown wig, a funny nose, or wild sunglasses. This is also a great way to pass out party favors that everyone will love.
Everyone is on the dance floor. Play a song and have everyone dance. Yell out a number and the people must get into groups of that number and hug. Anyone not in a group of that number is out. Everyone can play this, young and old!
We pick one of the game winners from one of the games and let them play a song using our system!
